Redblacks sign Ravens standout Kene Onyeka

The Ottawa Redblacks have come to terms with national defensive standout Kene Onyeka.

Onyeka, selected in the fourth round of last year’s CFL draft, saw his stock fall due to his desire to return to Carleton to complete his Mechanical Engineering degree. After finishing his final year of USports eligibility, Onyeka is ready to join the nearby Redblacks full-time.

The Brampton native had an excellent final season with the Ravens, recording seven sacks and 10.5 tackles for loss. Onyeka was named a first-team OUA all-star for his efforts.
