The reach

At 6:13 of the second quarter, Mitchell, running to his left, drops in a 17-yard pass that Lemar Durant catches at the goal line over Ottawa defender Jonathan Rose, then Durant stretches his hand past the pylon for the major. Calgary 14-3

The reprieve

At 12:35 of the second quarter, Ottawa receiver Julian Feoli-Gudino takes a 25-yard strike from QB Trevor Harris in stride at Calgary’s 30-yard line, then fights off two defenders to squeak past the pylon for the major. A two-point convert puts Ottawa back in the game. Calgary 14-11

The dagger

With 20 seconds left in the half, Calgary kick returner Terry Williams fields a Richie Leone punt at his own 13-yard-line, evades two tackles, slips on the turf, rights himself and runs straight up the middle 97 yards for a touchdown, the longest punt return in Grey Cup history. Calgary 21-11

The last gasp

At 6:02 of the fourth quarter, Calgary linebacker Jamar Wall knocks down a Harris pass at Calgary’s 7-yard line, forcing the ball back to Calgary on downs and leaving Ottawa behind two major scores with just half a quarter to play. It proved to be too much for Ottawa to overcome.
