The turf at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton is clearly a factor with players slipping all over the place. While temperatures in the Alberta capital aren’t that bad – around the freezing mark – it’s clear that the playing surface is impacting the quality of play.

Social media, known for its restrained and reasonable reaction to things, certainly has plenty of, um, hot takes on the issue.
