Hughes, Roosevelt will return to Riders line up vs B.C. Lions

The Saskatchewan Roughriders will have two key pieces back in the line up for this Saturday’s crucial match up with the B.C. Lions.

Receiver Naaman Roosevelt and defensive Charleston Hughes will both return to action head coach Chris Jones told reporters on Thursday.

Hughes, who leads the CFL with 15 sacks this season, missed last week’s win over Calgary after being charged with impaired driving and failure to provide a breath sample after an incident on Oct 11. After initially saying he’d play, the Riders reversed course and kept Hughes out of the lineup.

Roosevelt has missed the last four games after injuring his knee against the Toronto Argonauts in late September. He’s currently third on the team in receiving with 48 catches for 570 yards and is tied for the lead in touchdown catches with four.

The Riders can clinch a home playoff date with a win over the Lions at Mosaic and are still in the race for first place in the West Division.
