B.C. Lions linebacker Jordan Herdman delivered a head shot on Toronto Argonauts receiver S.J. Green.
During the first quarter of the game Saturday night, Herdman launched himself into Green while he made a reception. The veteran needed attention on the field before walking off under his own power. However, Green returned to the Argos sidelines in street clothes done for the game.
Herdman was flagged for unnecessary roughness on the play. The hit could lead to supplementary discipline from the league.
Green leads the Argos with 62 catches for 791 yards and three touchdowns in 2018. Toronto head coach Marc Trestman said Green “seemed fine” after the game.
