After a tough start to his NFL career, former CFL kicker Brett Maher rebounded with a solid performance in Dallas’ 20-13 win over the New York Giants on Sunday night.
The Cowboys kicker hit field goals from 37 and 29 yards while also connecting on two extra points in the nationally televised game. Maher missed his first kick, a 47-yarder, in the team’s Week 1 loss to Carolina.
The 28-year-old Maher signed with Dallas this past April after two solid seasons in the CFL, connecting on 82 per cent of his field goals with Ottawa and Hamilton. He was also the Redblacks kicker during their inaugural season in 2014.
