The CFL has fined Ottawa Redblacks linebacker J.R. Tavai for a ‘high hit’ on Lions quarterback Travis Lulay.
The league acknowledged it missed a spearing call during the game, which B.C. won 26-14. The 34-year-old underwent concussion protocol and didn’t return.
Lulay was at practice all week and is set to start against Montreal on Friday. Meanwhile, Tavai is lighter in the wallet.
