After throwing three first half interceptions – including two pick sixes – the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have benched starting quarterback Matt Nichols.
Head coach Mike O’Shea, who has been steadfast in his support of Nichols this season, replaced him after a disappointing first half against the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Banjo Bowl.
Nichols was 10 of 20 for 165 yards with no touchdowns and the three interceptions as the Riders took a 20-17 lead into halftime.
Fans booing an public service announcement by Matt Nichols on the big screen. That's pretty personal. #Bombers
