Argos Duron Carter to play against Ticats on Saturday: Trestman

Duron’s back.

Toronto Argonauts head coach Marc Trestman confirmed Friday that receiver Duron Carter would be in the line up for Saturday’s key game against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

After Carter signed with Toronto in late August, Trestman stated the 27-year-old receiver would not play in either game during Weeks 12 and 13.

“There’s no chance he’ll play in either game,” Trestman said on Aug. 27.

Carter made eight receptions for 111 yards in seven games this season while recording 13 tackles and an interception return for a touchdown plus one knockdown as a defensive back before Saskatchewan cut him on Aug. 11.

Through 65 career CFL games, Carter has 266 receptions for 4,031 yards and 26 touchdowns, averaging 980 receiving yards per season.
