Argos’ Trestman reverses course on potential of Duron Carter playing against Ticats

Argos head coach Marc Trestman has reversed course on the potential of Duron Carter playing against the Ticats.

“Well, I can’t say he will or he won’t play. We really haven’t had the discussion, I’ll leave it at that,” Trestman said.

After Carter signed with Toronto in late August, Trestman stated the 27-year-old receiver would not play in either game during Weeks 12 and 13.

“The one thing I am very, very pleased with is the way he’s assimilated with our football team. I’ve been extremely impressed with him in his actions, in his demeanour, in his words. I’ve talked to a number of players because that’s where I get my information relative to Duron,” Trestman said.

“He’s really been great in the locker room and I’ve been extremely impressed with him in the meetings. He’s asked questions. Those questions have not by any intention been made to draw attention to himself. They’ve been very well thought out and very on point and that’s been impressive.”
