The B.C. Lions will be without starting running back Jeremiah Johnson against the Edmonton Eskimos in Week 9.

Johnson initially suffered the injury when the Lions came back and beat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in Week 5. He has 48 carries for 272 yards and three touchdowns plus 14 catches for 90 yards in five games. The 31-year-old has been B.C.’s lead back since 2016.
The Lions signed Van in May and he has yet to record a for B.C. Van has 152 rushes for 705 yards and five touchdowns and 38 receptions for 223 yards and one touchdown in four CFL seasons and 19 games.
Rainey is known as an explosive playmaker whenever the ball is in his hands.
