We’re a little late on this but it’s so good, it’s still worth it.
Fans in Hamilton came up with a hilarious sign to taunt Saskatchewan Roughriders receiver / defensive back / linebacker / chief cook and bottle washer Duron Carter on his recent trip to the Steel City.
Behold:
Carter pled guilty to possessing more than 30 grams of marijuana after a search at the Winnipeg International Airport on Nov. 25, 2017 – later reported as pot cookies. He received an absolute discharge, though he still faces possession charges in Saskatoon in a case that’s scheduled to go to trial this winter. Marijuana is set to be legal in Canada in October.
Carter has been a notoriously good sport about these types of things – he once signed a sign from these same Hamilton fans calling him the worst teammate ever – so its unlikely it bothered him much. Oh, and the Riders won 31-20.
That’s good enough for me.
Update: from the fan with the sign…
Duron has always been a good guy and good sport!! He really liked last years sign as well as this one, its all good fun n plus we all knew his charge was total BS anyways
