Montreal Alouettes’ defensive tackle Faith Ekakitie has suffered a season-ending injury.
The 2017 first overall pick tore his Achilles during practice with the Alouettes on Tuesday, per source, and will not suit up for his new team this year.
Ekakitie was released by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers after training camp, just thirteen months after he was selected with the top pick in last year’s CFL draft.
