The Edmonton Eskimos are signing Canadian receiver Sam Giguere, according to reporter Gerry Moddejonge.
The #Esks are signing Canadian free-agent WR Sam Giguere, per sources. Drafted eighth overall by the #Ticats in 2008, he ended up signing with #NFL’s Colts and Giants, and was a brakeman on the Canadian National Bobsleigh Team. Most recently played for #Als. #CFL

The 32-year-old pass catcher missed the first seven games in 2017 with a hamstring injury. He returned to play in the final 11 contests making 11 catches for 107 yards and one touchdown for Montreal. Giguere played for the Alouettes since 2015 when he signed as a free agent coming over from Hamilton after spending the first three seasons of his CFL career with the Ticats. Giguere has played in 94 games recording 202 receptions for 2,458 yards and 13 touchdowns.
