Back in 2016, Jones’ first year with the Riders, Saskatchewan practised on the hill after beating the Redblacks 32-30. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made an appearance.

Jones and company did it again after a come-from-behind 18-17 win over Ottawa last year.

Saskatchewan’s bench boss believes it’s important to show the players Canada’s history.

Parliament officials say any CFL team is welcome to practice there but only the Riders have done it.
