The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have released veteran defensive back Demond Washington. The move came the same day the team added former CFL all-star corner Delvin Breaux to the roster.
Washington, 30, was signed as a free agent in February 2016 after four productive seasons with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. But he tore his ACL in training camp and missed the entire year, then played in just seven games in 2017.
He did not play in the pre-season this spring and was on the one-game injured list for the game against Calgary.
Washington has played 74 games in his five year CFL career, posting six interceptions.
