Argos sign former NFL RB Khiry Robinson

The Toronto Argonauts have signed former NFL running back Khiry Robinson.

The 28-year-old went unselected in the 2013 NFL Draft coming out of West Texas A&M University. Robinson signed an undrafted free agent contract with the New Orleans Saints and made the team out of training camp. He played three seasons for the Saints (2013-2015) rushing 186 times for 766 yards and eight touchdown plus 25 catches for 178 yards in 28 games.

After suffering a broken bone on his leg (tibia) halfway through 2015 and New Orleans elected not to re-sign Robinson. The New York Jets signed him in 2016 and he played one game rushing eight times for 22 yards and re-injured a broken leg that had nagged him from training camp. The Jets released him in the off-season and after working out for the Saints and Jacksonville Jaguars he spent the entire 2017 as a free agent.
