Hamilton Tiger-Cats

Ticats sign first round pick Darius Ciraco

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed offensive lineman Darius Ciraco, the sixth overall pick in the 2018 CFL Draft.

Ciraco has missed the first two sessions of training camp after the club was unable to get a deal done with the 6-foot-3 and 296 pounder. The Burlington native played 28 regular season games for the University of Calgary from 2014 to 2017, starting games at centre, guard and tackle.

The Ticats traded up to acquire Ciraco, sending a second-round pick (10th overall) and a third-round pick (20th overall) to the Eskimos. The Ticats also got a fifth-round pick (37th overall) in the deal.
