Lions release DL Mic’hael Brooks

The B.C. Lions have released defensive lineman Mic’hael Brooks after shopping him around the league according to Farhan Lalji of TSN.

As expected, #BCLions have released DT Mic'hael Brooks.
They'd been trying to trade him for over a month. No longer deemed a fit. Very good rookie season, up & down the past 2. Exceptional when motivated. Won't take him long to find work imo. @CFLonTSN @cfl @TSN_Sports @CFL_News

Brooks had one year left on his contract with the Lions. The 26-year-old made 83 tackles, five sacks, one interception and forced one fumble in 43 games over three seasons with B.C. He was a West Division All-Star in 2015 as a CFL rookie after spending two seasons in Seattle with the NFL’s Seahawks.
