Argos sign former Stampeders DL Frank Beltre

The Toronto Argonauts have signed defensive lineman Frank Beltre to a one-year contract, per sources.

Beltre spent three seasons with the Calgary Stampeders from 2014-2016, winning a Grey Cup with the Stamps in 2014 while making 27 defensive tackles, nine special teams stops, three sacks and forcing one fumble in 26 games.

After a number of NFL workouts in December 2016, the New York Jets signed Beltre to a contract in January 2017 and he made two tackles and one sack in the pre-season game then spent part of the season there.
