CFL Hall of Fame defender James ‘Quick’ Parker has passed away at the age of 60.
Parker played for the Eskimos, Lions and Argos. He won the CFL Most Oustanding Defensive Player three times (1982, 1984 and 1986), won four Grey Cups (1980, 1981, 1982 and 1985) and named a league all-star in five seasons.
In 1984 Parker set a single-season sack record with 26.5 sacks in a 16-game regular season schedule back then. Over 12 seasons he made 139.5 sacks, fourth most in CFL history.
Parker was one of the all-time greats in the league.
