Johnny Manziel says he will bring his talents to Canada if he can’t land an NFL contract this season.
Manzel addressed the future of his pro football comeback after throwing at Texas A&M’s pro day Tuesday when asked about another NFL shot.
“If something pops up, it pops up. And if not and I don’t get the opportunity to go back, I’m going to play in the CFL,” Manziel said after throwing in front of 32 NFL and some Canadian teams.

The-25-year-old has a contract offer from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, who currently hold his negotiation list rights. Manziel was the quarterback for the Aggies pro day which was well covered by the media.

Manziel quickly rose to stardom at Texas A&M, winning the Heisman Trophy in 2012, his redshirt freshman season. In just two years as an Aggie, Manziel passed for 7,820 yards, 63 touchdowns against 22 interceptions and rushed for 2,169 yards and 30 touchdowns. The last time Manziel had a pro day on the Aggies campus, 75 personnel men came from 30 NFL teams came – plus former president George W. Bush.

Manziel is set to play in The Spring League from March 28 to April 15 and the Ticats are sending scouts to watch the star signal caller.
Once Manziel finishes up The Spring League slate Hamilton’s vice president of football operations Kent Austin expects a swift decision on Manziel’s next step in his professional football comeback.
“You’ll probably see things move pretty quickly after that in some direction,” Austin said.
