Riders sign two Canadians, receiver Brett Blaszko and kicker Brett Lauther

Saskatchewan has kept one Canadian and added another to the fold re-signing receiver Brett Blaszko and inking kicker Brett Lauther.

Blaszko was a third-round pick, 23rd overall, by the Lions in the 2016 CFL draft. He was released by B.C. during final training camp cuts last season and later picked up by the Bombers who traded him to the Riders for a 2018 draft pick. The University of Calgary Dinos product played two games for Saskatchewan in 2017.

Lauther was a seventh round, 53rd overall pick by the Ticats in the 2013 CFL draft. He made 6-of-10 field goals in his rookie season with a long of 40 yards. Since then Lauther has bounced around to practice rosters, one stint with the Argos, two with the Riders and last season in Edmonton.
