Redblacks sign former Lions DB Josh Johnson

The Redblacks have signed defensive back Josh Johnson to a one-year contract.

The former B.C. Lions defender Johnson played eight games for the Jacksonville Jaguars making nine tackles and defending one pass in 2016. Then he was placed on injured reserve during 2017 training camp and eventually released last October.

“Being able to hire a player of Josh’s quality at this point in the offseason is important,” said general manager Marcel Desjardins statement. “He will add experience to our defense while providing leadership and versatility.”
