Calgary Stampeders

Stampeders sign former Ticats DB Emanuel Davis

Defensive back Emanuel Davis has signed a one-year deal with Calgary, per sources.

Davis was released after a down season in 2017 for the two-time all-star. He missed the first seven games with a hamstring injury suffered early in training camp, played in six games, then was a healthy scratch in the last fives games of the season after defensive coordinator Phillip Lolley replaced him in the starting lineup. The 28-year-old has played five CFL seasons, all with Hamilton and has 10 career interceptions.
