LaFrance was let go by Saskatchewan on January 31 as the Riders avoided paying a $20,000 off-season roster bonus. The 26-year-old played in 13 games for the Riders carrying the ball 68 times for 273 yards and two touchdowns adding 14 catches for 123 yards and one major in 2017.
Davis was released after a down season in 2017 for the two-time all-star. He missed the first seven games with a hamstring injury suffered early in training camp, played in six games, then was a healthy scratch in the last fives games of the season after defensive coordinator Phillip Lolley replaced him in the starting lineup. The 28-year-old has played five CFL seasons, all with Hamilton and has 10 career interceptions.
