The Philadelphia Eagles scored a touchdown shortly before halftime in Super Bowl LII that look awfully familiar to fans north of the border.
Here’s the Winnipeg touchdown that took place late in the 2016 season. The pass, thrown by receiver Rory Kohlert, was caught by Blue Bomber quarterback Matt Nichols for six points.
Pretty sure we've seen that play before….

Bombers offensive coordinator Paul LaPolice certainly noticed the similarity…

As did quarterback Matt Nichols….
Nick Foles didn't send it to the upper deck though.. think the ransom would have been higher for a Super Bowl ball. @Kohlert2 https://t.co/vaS6D9NhHQ

Two virtually identical touchdowns — one of which took place on the world’s biggest stage. With all due respect to the Eagles, let’s remember which touchdown came first… though LaPo admits to having inspiration as well.
Everybody loves to copy everybody. We stole it from @ClemsonFB but I like how we ran it ! https://t.co/BEBlafhlWU
