Duron Carter sees a theme in the way players were treated in Montreal and now Toronto.

Carter played his first two seasons in the CFL for Montreal when Jim Popp was the general manager who currently has the same position in Toronto. Then Carter spent 2015 with the Indianapolis Colts and returned to the Alouettes in 2016 before he was released by the team late that season.
Argos’ star running back James Wilder Jr. has decided to sit out the 2018 CFL season after not being allowed by Toronto to pursue NFL opportunities or renegotiate his minimum salary pact that has one-year remaining.
How does keeping guys on a underwhelming contract make our league better?

Maybe better contracts will bring better players to the "Completely Fun League" over the "No Fun League"!! I crack myself up 😂😂😂

Then Carter took a clear shot at the Argos fan base.
"If you don't want a 100 commercials for a team with 100 fans, come to Saskatchewan" (shug knight voice😂😂😂

Saskatchewan’s all-star went on to question why Ricky Ray, SJ Green or Grey Cup MVP DeVier Posey aren’t already signed to deals for 2018 and possibly beyond.
Whatever! Where is Ricky ray contract? Sj Green? Devier Posey? James Wilder? Shall I continue? https://t.co/O47bzdyx3f

Carter recently chose to stay with the Riders over potentially playing in the NFL, but it’s clear he feels Wilder Jr. should have the option to decide his pro football future.
