Kevin Glenn chirps Bombers after they sign Darian Durant

Veteran quarterback Kevin Glenn took to Twitter Saturday night to throw a little shade at the Bombers after Winnipeg announced the signing of Darian Durant.

It was reported earlier this week that the Bombers were in the mix for Glenn, who ultimately signed with the Edmonton Eskimos. This indicates the Bombers weren’t willing to pay Glenn but ponied up for the 35-year-old Durant.

The Alouettes cut Durant last week instead of paying him at $150,000 roster bonus. In his one season in Montreal, Durant threw for 3,233 yards, 15 touchdowns against 16 interceptions (second-most in the league) and was benched multiple times.

Meanwhile, the 38-year-old Glenn was released by the Riders after they traded for Zach Collaros. Glenn started 17 games for the Riders last season, throwing for 4,038 yards, 25 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. But he was benched several times late in the season in favour of Canadian youngster Brandon Bridge, who re-signed with the club in December, including the East Final loss to Toronto when Glenn went 6-of-13 for 87 yards and was picked off three times.
