Redblacks sign 2017 Hec Crighton Trophy winner

The Redblacks have signed 2017 draft pick, running back Ed Ilnicki to a two-year deal.

After spending training camp in Ottawa with the Redblacks, Ilnicki went back to the University of Alberta to finish his university playing career. Ilnicki set a single-season Canada West conference record in 2017 with 1,468 rushing yards. He also led USports with 11 touchdowns. Those numbers earned him the 2017 Hec Crighton Trophy as the top player in Canadian university football.
