What Brandon Bridge is scheduled to make from the Riders in 2018

Brandon Bridge signed a bridge contract.

It’s a deal that gives the 25-year-old a pay raise and should lead to a bigger dollar amount on the next one.

Bridge received a $40,000 signing bonus, $10,000 in housing, $10,800 in roster bonuses and $90,000 in base salary, which equals $150,800 in “hard money”. There is $63,000 in playtime incentives available and $50,000 for performance bonuses. If Bridge plays 51 per cent or more of the snaps in a game he gets an extra $3,000 up t0 12 and then it bumps to $4,500 per contest for the final six games.

Bridge made around $80,000 in the final year of his rookie deal in 2017.

The Missauga, Ontario native started in Week 13 for the Riders in Hamilton and guided the team to a victory with 231 passing yards and three touchdowns. Two weeks later, he came off the bench to lead a comeback win against Toronto, finishing 20-of-28 for 292 yards and two touchdowns.

Overall, Bridge passed for 1,236 yards with a 66.6 completion percentage (92-of-138) and 10 touchdowns to just four interceptions while adding 20 carries for 127 yards and one touchdown on the ground in 2017. That earned him the bridge deal.
