Maple Leafs head coach Mike Babcock attended the East Final in a Riders jersey but there was no green to be seen on Wednesday when he welcomed the Grey Cup champion Argos to the Air Canada Centre.
Toronto beat Saskatchewan 25-21 at BMO Field to advance to the CFL championship game, Babcock was in a private box with MLSE Chairman and Argos owner Larry Tanenbaum.
“I told Larry Tanenbaum I know we own the other team but the green Riders have been my team for forever,” Babcock said.
Babcock hid his Rider fandom for one shot and even had a have a blue tie on to match the Argos shade.
