The 25-year-old started all 16 games for the Eskimos this season and has made 81 tackles, three interceptions and two forced fumbles. Brandyn Thompson, who has played in 10 games and made 22 tackles and scored a touchdown for Edmonton in 2017, will replace Ladler.
