General manager and head coach Kavis Reed said Drew Willy will start his second consecutive game for Montreal on Thanksgiving Monday, the Alouettes host Edmonton.
Rookie pivot Matt Shiltz should see some action too. Darian Durant is still dealing with a hamstring injury.
Willy started in Montreal’s Week 15 blowout 59-11 loss to Calgary, completing 13-of-19 for 137 yards and one touchdown. He was relieved by Shiltz who hit 8-for-10 passes gaining 75 yards.
The 30-year-old had seen action in two of Montreal’s games against Ottawa recently after Durant was benched. He completed 8-of-11 passes for 98 yards and 12-of-17 balls for 83 yards in Weeks 11 and 13. It will be Willy’s first start with Montreal.
The Alouettes have lost seven straight games and their playoff hopes are hanging by a thread. While the Eskimos have dropped six in a row. One losing streak will end.
