Calgary Stampeders running back Jerome Messam will miss Friday’s game against the Montreal Alouettes due to injury.
Messam, who has been dealing with knee issues all season and took a wicked helmet-to-helmet shot in a game two weeks ago, leads the CFL with 897 rushing yards and nine touchdowns. The Stamps are 11-1-1 on the season and have already clinched a playoff spot, though their one loss came to Montreal on July 14.

Rookie American Terry Williams is listed as the starter at running back for Calgary. He’s played in two games this season and has one carry for minus-one yard. The Stamps had been starting eight Canadians with Messam in the line up and so don’t need to make a ratio adjustment to start Williams.
