Two Riders added to six-game injured list

Mike Edem and Marcus Thigpen have been placed on Saskatchewan’s six-game injured list.

Edem was starting at safety and played 11 games making 15 tackles and forcing one fumble before he suffered a setback against Hamilton.

Thigpen, who was signed in advance of the Riders’ Week 13 meeting with Hamilton, had been out of football since December 2015 and got injured in his first game back. The 31-year-old has three punt returns for 77 yards, including a 48-yarder in the Hammer before leaving the game.

Saskatchewan brought Marc-Olivier Brouillette out of retirement to help mitigate the loss of Edem while Jacoby Ford and Joe Craig have been signed to provide options in the return game.
