Defender Otha Foster on his way to join Riders

The Saskatchewan Roughriders are bringing back strong-side linebacker Otha Foster who has agreed to terms and is on his way to the Saskatchewan capital, per sources.

The 28-year-old attended training camp with the Ravens, but he was released among Baltimore’s final cuts.

Riders general manager, head coach and defensive coordinator Chris Jones and Foster were together – winning a Grey Cup in 2015 – when the West Alabama product started his CFL career in Edmonton. Over 33 games with the Eskimos, Foster made 102 tackles, three sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and scored two touchdowns. He’s viewed as one of the best SAM linebackers in the three-down game.
