He got called for pass interference on Bryant Mitchell at Ottawa’s 10-yard line, which resulted in a 36-yard penalty, that led to Edmonton’s go-ahead and ultimately game-winning touchdown on Thursday as the Redblacks fell to 1-6-1.
The 25-year-old was originally signed in February 2016 by the Redblacks. Claiborne played in 12 games making 40 tackles, four special teams tackles and one interception – that came against the Eskimos – during his time with Ottawa.
