Ottawa has put defensive lineman Jonathan Newsome on the six-game injured list.
The 26-year-old signed with the Redblacks just days after being released by Saskatchewan. Then he shared his side of the story as to why Chris Jones let him go.
Newsome did not play in Week 1 for the Riders, but he suited up in Week 2 against Winnipeg and recorded one tackle and an interception.
He played in 18 games last season for Saskatchewan, making 27 defensive tackles, six special teams tackles and two sacks.
