Redblacks sign seven, including 2016 second round pick

The Redblacks signed seven players on Tuesday.

Most notable in the group, Canadian running back Wayne Moore. He was a second round pick, 11th overall by the Montreal Alouettes in the 2016 CFL draft. The six-foot, 220-pounder suffered a shoulder injury in training camp with the Als last year and missed his entire first season in the CFL.

Fellow McMaster product Zachary Intzandt inked a deal with Ottawa. He was a fifth round, 37th overall selection in the 2016 pick-fest by Winnipeg. After returning to the Marauders for his final USports season, Intzandt attended Bombers training camp earlier this year, but he was released among final cuts.

Ottawa also signed four Americans, offensive lineman Armando Bonheur, receivers Cody Hoffman (five games played in two seasons with Montreal, recording six catches for 104 yards and one touchdown), DeMarcus Thompson and defensive back Adrian James.

Meanwhile, international defensive lineman Jason Ankrah was released.
