The Montreal Alouettes have re-signed Canadian defensive back Daryl Townsend to a two-year deal, per CFL sources.
Originally signed by Saskatchewan in 2011 as an undrafted free agent, the 31-year-old Townsend appeared in 17 games last season, making 13 special teams tackles. In his six years with the Roughriders, Bombers and Alouettes, Townsend has appeared in 75 games. He has 81 special teams tackles in his career.
