Malick Meiga displays elite speed for CFL, NFL scouts at Coastal Carolina pro day

Canadian receiver Malick Meiga was a standout at Coastal Carolina University’s pro day on Monday.

The native of Montreal, Que. ran an official 4.43-second forty-yard dash, though multiple scouts timed him in the 4.3-range. Based on his official time, Meiga would have been the second-fastest player in attendance at the 2025 CFL Combine and near the middle of the pack at the 2026 NFL Combine.

The six-foot-three, 205-pound target also recorded 20 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press, a 4.34-second shuttle, a 7.10-second three-cone drill, a 36.5-inch vertical jump, and a ten-foot, six-inch broad jump.

Meiga played 23 games over two seasons with the Chanticleers, recording 26 catches for 326 yards and one touchdown. He started his collegiate career at Penn State, where he made nine receptions for 106 yard and one score over 28 games.

Canadian defensive lineman Aamarii Notice also participated in Monday’s pro day, measuring in at six-foot-four and 284 pounds. He recorded a 5.51-second forty-yard dash, 4.94-second shuttle, 8.14-second three cone, 25 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press, a 22.5-inch vertical jump, and a seven-foot, six-inch broad jump.

The native of Toronto, Ont. recorded 18 total tackles, one tackle for loss, and 0.5 sacks over 13 games with the Chanticleers in 2025. He previously played at the University of Idaho where he made 60 total tackles, four tackles for loss, and two sacks over 34 games.

Five CFL teams attended Monday’s pro day at Coastal Carolina: the B.C. Lions, Calgary Stampeders, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and Toronto Argonauts.

Coastal Carolina competes in the Sun Belt Conference in the NCAA Division I FBS and went 6-7 in 2025. The school’s alumni includes longtime NFL quarterback Tyler Thigpen, New York Giants tight end Will Likely, and former first-round CFL draft pick Enock Makonzo.

Meiga and Notice are both on the roster for the 2026 CFL Combine, which is scheduled for March 27 to 29 in Edmonton.
