Green Bay Packers agree to terms with Canadian Benjamin St-Juste: report

The Green Bay Packers have agreed to terms on a two-year deal with Canadian cornerback Benjamin St-Juste worth $10 million, according to NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.

St-Juste is a pending free agent and was allowed to negotiate with teams beginning on Monday. He cannot officially sign his deal until the start of the new league year on Wednesday, March 11.

The native of Montreal, Que., spent last season with the Los Angeles Chargers, dressing for 16 games with two starts. He was credited with 37 tackles, seven pass deflections, and one interception.

The 28-year-old was originally a third-round pick of the Washington Commanders in the 2021 NFL Draft. He played 54 regular-season games over four seasons with the team and made 45 starts at cornerback, recording 206 total tackles, four tackles for loss, 34 pass knockdowns, four forced fumbles, three sacks, one interception, and one fumble recovery.

The six-foot-three, 200-pound cover man concluded his collegiate career at the University of Minnesota in 2020, recording 62 total tackles, two tackles for loss, and 13 pass knockdowns over 18 games with the Golden Gophers. He transferred from the University of Michigan, where he played 12 games as a freshman in 2017 before redshirting in 2018 after suffering a hamstring injury.

St-Juste had earned $9.37 million in his NFL career prior to this contract.
