The Calgary Stampeders have signed a pair of American receivers for 2026, Jeremiah Hunter and Jeff Foreman.
Hunter finished his collegiate career in 2024 at the University of Washington, where he posted 36 catches for 490 yards and one touchdown in 13 games.
The six-foot-two, 212-pound pass catcher transferred from the University of California, Berkeley, where he amassed 144 catches for 2,084 yards and 13 touchdowns in 33 games and was named second-team All-Pac 12 by multiple outlets as a sophomore in 2022.
The Fresno, Cal., product went unselected in the 2025 NFL Draft. He attended rookie camp with the Chicago Bears, but was not signed to a contract.
Formeman played at Arkansas State University, where he suited up in 58 games over five seasons. The six-foot, 186-pound target recorded 104 career catches for 2,067 yards and 13 touchdowns, while also returning 17 kickoffs for 377 yards.
The native of Wichita, Kan., signed with the Las Vegas Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2024, but suffered a shoulder injury in training camp and spent the rest of the season on injured reserve. He was released the following May.
The Calgary Stampeders finished third in the West Division standings in 2025 with an 11-7 record, but lost the West Semi-Final to the B.C. Lions. Vernon Adams Jr. threw for 4,247 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions over 17 regular-season starts, posting an 11-6 record.
The Stampeders ranked fourth in net offence, seventh in net defence, and second with a turnover differential of plus-nine. Dedrick Mills won the CFL’s rushing title with 1,409 yards, while the team’s leading receiver was Dominique Rhymes with 886 yards, and the leading tackler was Jacob Roberts with 102 tackles. Calgary finished fifth in attendance with average crowds of 22,295, which was a 3.5 percent increase from the previous year.
