SportsNet reporter and 3DownNation columnist Arash Madani is reporting that the Saskatchewan Roughriders have re-started talks with quarterback Darian Durant, who is set to become a free agent in February.
A well-placed #CFL source familiar with negotiations tells me the #Riders made Darian Durant a new contract offer this week.

A #Riders source tells me their offer to Durant has a base salary around $300,000, w/ performance incentives to reach $400,000 in 2017. #CFL

Sense I get from the #Riders is they don’t want to lock in on a high cap # on a QB with Durant’s injury track record. Hence playtime bonuses

The Riders offer of $300,000 as a base salary would put Durant in the bottom half of #CFL QB salaries. If he hits all incentives, Top 4.
