Hamilton Tiger-Cats re-sign Canadian linebacker Trevor Hoyte

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have re-signed Canadian linebacker Trevor Hoyte.

The 26-year-old dressed for all 18 games with the Tiger-Cats last season, making six starts. The six-foot, 213-pound weakside linebacker registered 16 defensive tackles and 11 special teams tackles.

The native of Gatineau, Que. was originally selected by the Toronto Argonauts in the fourth round of the 2021 CFL Draft out of Carleton University. He has played 67 games over his four seasons in the CFL, registering 51 defensive tackles and 42 special teams tackles. Hoyte captured a Grey Cup championship with the Argos in 2022.
