B.C. Lions release two from practice roster

The B.C. Lions have released American receiver Devin Ravenel and American defensive back Bryce Watts from the practice roster.

Ravenel made 48 catches for 692 yards and 11 touchdowns over 48 collegiate games at James Madison University. The six-foot-one, 180-pound native of Stafford, Va. signed a futures contract with the Lions last year before being moved to the practice roster following training camp in June.

Watts made 43 total tackles, four pass knockdowns, and one interception over 12 collegiate games at the University of Massachusetts. He previously spent time at Virginia Tech and the University of North Carolina, making 29 total tackles, seven pass knockdowns, and one interception.

The Lions (8-9) will host the Montreal Alouettes (12-3-1) on Saturday, Oct. 19 with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m. EDT.
