Calgary Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell insinuated that the Saskatchewan Roughriders play fast and loose with CFL roster rules in a series of tweets Tuesday night. Mitchell started it with this Tweet linking to Saskatchewan’s bevy of roster moves earlier in the day…
I bet none of the people they signed needed flights .. 👀https://t.co/c8aAdx1XL1

Needless to say, this got the easily antagonized patrons of Rider Nation all riled up. A sampling…
@BoLeviMitchell @sskroughriders The whining… My god dude, you’re in first place and you’re crying. #bigboypants
— The Dude (@Elduderino_420) August 10, 2016
But Mitchell stuck to his guns…
@Elduderino_420 I’m whining? Hmm you are calling for me to be fined. Yet I’m whining. Yes we’re in 1st, playing by rules. And Sask.. Yea.
— Bo Levi Mitchell (@BoLeviMitchell) August 10, 2016
And he took some more crap from Rider fans…
@BoLeviMitchell @CFL @sskroughriders it’s comments like this that makes me lose respect for some players.
— Memarie Steeves (@ssbarmem) August 9, 2016
And gave it right back…
@ssbarmem @CFL @sskroughriders hate to be the one to break the news to you. But I only speak facts
— Bo Levi Mitchell (@BoLeviMitchell) August 10, 2016
@ssbarmem @CFL I’m focused on the league. I take care of my business. #fact I show up prepared everyday. Should we turn a blind eye?
— Bo Levi Mitchell (@BoLeviMitchell) August 10, 2016
This was a good one…
@BoLeviMitchell So are you accusing the #Riders of cheating?
— The Dude (@Elduderino_420) August 10, 2016
@Elduderino_420 I’m not rooting for Russia.
— Bo Levi Mitchell (@BoLeviMitchell) August 10, 2016
When you end a tweet with your jersey number, that is the hot fire emoji.
@BoLeviMitchell That’s why you should get a fine… True or not, makes the league look bad
— The Dude (@Elduderino_420) August 10, 2016
@Elduderino_420 League doesn’t look bad, the team housing xtra players, doing xtra practices and xtra meetings in last looks bad. The end 19

Mitchell seems to be insinuating that the Riders have players practicing with the club that aren’t on the roster. Teams are limited to a 46-man active roster and a ten player practice roster. Players on the one-game injured list can practice as well.
The Riders were also fined $15,000 for violating the CFL’s ratio rules during a July 16 game against the B.C. Lions. The league requires that teams play seven Canadians on offence or defence during the entire game.
In related news, the Riders host Calgary on Saturday…
Thanks to all Rider Fans giving me my edge for this week. Love the hate. Love the fuel. #thisoneisforyou
