Hamilton Tiger-Cats’ receiver Shemar Bridges is out for the year after suffering a quad injury last week, according to a post to his Instagram account.

“My journey always been difficult. This is just another chapter to the story. I wish I could finish this thing out with my brothas but I just have to trust God’s plan,” Bridges wrote on Thursday. “This season was a huge blessing that I’ll never forget. I got the opportunity to show everyone who I am and I’m beyond thankful for it. 2025 I WILL be back better than ever. Believe dat?? AGTG✝️”

Bridges is currently on the Ticats’ one-game injured list, but cannot be put on the six-game because the team has played 15 contests. The 26-year-old has had a stellar rookie season in the CFL and enters this week sitting fourth in receiving yards, having caught 83 passes for 933 yards and four touchdowns.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (6-9) will host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (9-6) on Friday, October 4 at 7:00 p.m. EDT.
