Saskatchewan Roughriders’ QB Trevor Harris named CFL’s top performer of month (again)

Saskatchewan Roughriders’ quarterback Trevor Harris has been named the CFL’s top performer of the month by Pro Football Focus (PFF) — again.

In August, Harris earned the recognition with a grade of 90.9. He has now received the honour again for September with a score of 90.3 after completing 69.1 percent of his passes for 1,218 yards, six touchdowns, and two interceptions, rushing nine times for 54 yards and two scores, and going 2-2 as a starter.

PFF’s honourable mentions were Hamilton quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell (90.1) and Winnipeg quarterback Zach Collaros (88.9).

The defensive player of the month was Saskatchewan defensive back Marcus Sayles, who made 12 defensive tackles, three pass breakups, and two interceptions over 207 snaps to earn a grade of 86.4. PFF’s honourable mentions were Hamilton defensive tackle Casey Sayles (82.9) and Ottawa defensive back Damon Webb (79.9).

PFF’s offensive line of the month was the Hamilton Tiger-Cats’ unit, which helped the team go 4-0. The top individual performers were left guard Brandon Revenberg (74.6), right guard Coulter Woodmansey (73.1), and centre David Beard (71.7).

The CFL partnered with PFF for the first time ahead of the 2023 season. The American company uses game footage to review every player on the field and grades their individual performances on a scale from zero to 100.
